The service

What to expect

Read our water damage painting cost guide →

A repaired leak can leave behind damaged paint, visible staining and areas that need wall repair. Once the area is fully dry and any required remediation is complete, we assess suitable drywall repairs and the preparation needed for a coordinated painted finish.

Common project details

Work suited to your project

Wall and ceiling repairs

Assess suitable localized drywall repairs, patching and surface smoothing after the area is fully dry.

Stain-sealing primer

Review remaining water marks and select suitable primer before applying finish coats.

Paint and sheen

Plan repainting around the existing room, including whether a full wall or ceiling needs a new coat.

Clear project boundaries

Questions we hear

Water-Damaged Wall Repair and Repainting questions

Does the leak need to be fixed first?

Yes. The source of the water must be repaired and the affected area must be fully dry before wall repair, primer or repainting begins.

Do you offer water extraction or mold remediation?

This service covers suitable wall repairs and repainting after the area is ready for finishing. Water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation and plumbing repairs must be handled separately.

Can you repair ceiling water stains too?

Suitable ceilings can be assessed along with walls once the leak has been fixed and the area is fully dry. The surface condition determines the repairs, primer and painting scope.

Will a small paint touch-up match the room?

Existing paint can change with age, lighting and wear, so an exact touch-up match is not guaranteed. Repainting a full wall or ceiling may give a more consistent appearance; we review the options with you.
